Black and Blue

Choices  (Patches)
Have you ever an old piece of clothing that you love so much and  you don't want to let go of it? Sometimes you wonder if only you could have patches of all the old clothing you love, just to keep it all. Some "daring" people may actually take the action to put everything together to see if they will like it. However, in the end it becomes a mess and eventually lose the clothing and possibly the love for it.
HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU BEFORE?- I am actually one of those daring people hehehe
If we take a good look at our lives, it actually follows that pattern. We grow old, make new friends, make decisions, plan the way we want to live our lives, 'dye' our hair, decide on the number of children we want to have, plan our occupation, decide on the food we want to eat and so on. But, for us to get to where we want in life we have choices which represent the 'patches'.
Choices are the decisions we need to make, in order to get where we want to be. Be determined and fixed on your choices. Let your no be a no and your yes be a yes. Do not let emotions be at play when making choices.
The choices we make can also be our distractions. Hence you need to be vigilante. For example, you choose to continue to be friends with some people you grew up with. They might be good people, however they do not allow you to focus. But, you keep trying to please them because you don't want to lose them.
Detailed example: You  meet an old friend you used to love dearly and meant a lot to you in the past. You are keen on catching up with that person and reminisce on the good times you enjoyed together. You even consider making things go back to what it used to be. But as time passes by, you notice that you guys have nothing in common, your friend is making you do what you don't like and impeding you from focusing on what's really important in your life. YOU want to get the old clothes and PATCH them into a  new clothing. Rest assured, it will rip off badly
There are many examples that you can relate to, from your own experiences. At times, it's the friend, the boyfriend, a habit, certain circumstances surrounding you etc., that try to stop you from doing the right thing.
You have the choice to make: throw away the old clothes and GET new ones OR mess it all up?
There are certain things in our lives that that are not meant to be kept, others for just a short period. We have difficulty letting things go. If we don't learn to make the right choices at the right time it can affect us in long run.
Task: See what has been holding you from moving forward. See what needs to go and let go of it- don't look back, because the new is better than the old.
